It would be good. I think the Knicks are happy with their frontcourt for now, but Dwight Howard is a guy that any team would love to have. The Knicks are struggling because of bad shot selection and no true point guard, which D’Antoni needs in order for his system to be effective. In that sense I like the move to bring in Jameer Nelson.
I’m assuming you are a Knicks fan by the way you phrased the question.
This is a TERRIBLE trade for the magic, so i guess it would be a great trade for the Knicks, it will never happen.
Bascially, if you were the knicks, would you trade Carmelo for Jason Richardson, straight up?
Of course not, and that is essentially what you are suggesting the Magic would be doing. Since they would have the knicks bad line up without melo, and keep Jrich.
Also, do you know how trades work in the NBA? total salaries traded need to be with 10% of each other, I am pretty sure this trade is not possible.
The Magic would not take Amare who is injury proned and declining for Howard and they wouldn’t want Chandler for him either because he has only defensive skills and basically can not score nor run a team like Howard. Tony Douglas and Fields aren’t consistent enough even for an aging Nelson or Turk. Glen Davis is only getting better so I know they won’t give him up either. This trade would only benefit the Knicks.
NO NO NO
1. HEDO TURKOGLU ATE HIS FAT A** OUT AT TORONTO AND HES MAD FAT.
2. DWIGHT HOWARD EVEN SAID HE IS FAT
3. GLEN DAVIS IS TRASH AMARE IS WAY BETTER
not a bad offer, i think both teams would benefit. better for the knicks though since tyson is on his way out
I would keep Amare and get rid of Melo.
I’ll trade Mike D’Antoni for Stan Van Gundy.
